Arlington, Va., June 4, 2025 – The Essential Minerals Association (EMA) today announced the addition of two new staff members who will be supporting the advocacy efforts for the team. Megan Delany was named Senior VP, General Counsel, and Kaline Gabriel is joining as the new Director of Safety and Regulatory Standards.
“I am thrilled to welcome Megan and Kaline to the EMA staff. They bring experience on a broad range of issues that will allow our team to advance the mission of the domestic minerals industry,” said Chris Greissing, EMA president. “As we look ahead, there are many opportunities and challenges the industry will face. I am excited to have two excellent additions to our team that will help us navigate a complex legislative, regulatory, and legal agenda.”
Megan leads a broad portfolio of association and advocacy programs and projects for EMA. She is a government affairs industry veteran with more than twenty-five years of government relations experience representing clients before Congress, the Administration, and state and local entities. Prior to joining EMA, Megan was President of Delany Advisory Group, LLC, a full services government relations firm that provided strategic advice developing public policy positions and creative solutions for clients to successfully achieve policy objectives. Kaline is the Director, Safety and Regulatory Standards at EMA, where she helps lead EMA’s safety initiatives and provides crucial support to our work with ASTM. Prior to EMA, Kaline was the Manager, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, at the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies. Her background includes the creation of environmental, health, and safety programs for multi-million-dollar projects, conducting in-depth research, and public outreach. Kaline holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and received her master’s in public health, both from Texas A&M University. Kaline can be reached at kalinegabriel@essentialminerals.org.
