EMA issued the follow statement today on the death of Rep. Doug LaMalfa this morning.
“We were shocked and saddened to learn of Rep. LaMalfa’s sudden passing. As a fierce champion for rural communities during his tenure in Congress, Doug was a friend to the minerals industry and a friend to EMA,” said Chris Greissing, EMA president. “We will miss his strong voice in Washington as he proudly served California’s 1st Congressional District. We send our support and prayers to his family during this difficult time."
